Before you buy
Checking a used Perseus
This is the model where the perimeter tap test matters most in the entire secondhand market. Foam injected walls can separate internally and the paddle stays visually perfect while going hollow, and because delamination often adds power before it kills the paddle, the person selling it frequently believes it is playing better than ever. Tap slowly around the whole edge and listen for a change in pitch between sections. After that, face grit: raw carbon wears smooth and a smooth Perseus is a control paddle wearing a power paddle's name.
A player who already drives the ball and wants more of it, with the hand speed to control what comes back. It is a poor first paddle and an excellent third one.

Buying a used Perseus
- Is a used JOOLA Perseus worth buying?
- Yes, if you know its condition. A used Perseus costs less than new, and the checks above are what separate a good one from a tired one. We run them on every unit before it is listed, so the grade next to the price is the answer.
- How do you grade a used Perseus?
- The same way as everything else here: weighed, tapped, measured and checked on twelve points, then graded Mint, Like New or Excellent. Anything below the floor is declined rather than listed cheaply, so a low price means an older generation or more cosmetic wear, never a paddle that failed inspection.
- Can I trade in my Perseus?
- Yes. Send photos and a person comes back within 24 hours with an offer in RePaddle store credit. The quote is an estimate until the paddle is in hand and graded, and if the final offer differs we email it and issue nothing until you accept.
