A carbon-face specialist that arrived with a very clear identity and a shape naming scheme that made it easy to buy the right one. The raw carbon faces set the standard other brands were then measured against for spin. Strong following among competitive players.

Before you buy
Raw carbon grips hard when new and wears smooth with use, and that wear is the single biggest determinant of what a used CRBN is worth — far more than cosmetics. Run a thumb across the face: if it does not catch, it is a control paddle now, whatever it was designed as. The thermoformed generations need the same perimeter tap test as any foam-injected paddle.
We run that check on every unit before it is listed, and the result is the grade on the card. Lines we see most from CRBN: Genesis, TruFoam, 1X, 2X, 3X.
By model
A player who wants raw-carbon spin without an elongated shape’s narrower sweet spot, and the most forgiving way into the brand. Doubles players who live at the kitchen line get more out of the wide body than singles players chasing reach will.
Singles players and anyone who wants reach. A cheap way to find out whether an elongated shape suits you before paying retail to discover it does not.
