Used ProKennex Black Ace
Built around vibration damping more than power or spin, and the standard recommendation for players managing elbow or shoulder trouble. Distinctly soft and absorbed at contact.

Before you buy
Checking a used Black Ace
The damping system is internal, so the tap test matters more here than on most paddles: what you are listening and feeling for is a change in how the handle transmits vibration, which is the signal that something inside has shifted. Faces wear at an ordinary rate. These hold value well secondhand because the players who need them stay with them, so expect a smaller discount than the category average and treat that as a sign rather than a problem.
Anyone playing through arm pain, and players who find modern stiff paddles harsh.
Questions
Buying a used Black Ace
- Is a used ProKennex Black Ace worth buying?
- Yes, if you know its condition. A used Black Ace costs less than new, and the checks above are what separate a good one from a tired one. We run them on every unit before it is listed, so the grade next to the price is the answer.
- How do you grade a used Black Ace?
- The same way as everything else here: weighed, tapped, measured and checked on twelve points, then graded Mint, Like New or Excellent. Anything below the floor is declined rather than listed cheaply, so a low price means an older generation or more cosmetic wear, never a paddle that failed inspection.
- Can I trade in my Black Ace?
- Yes. Send photos and a person comes back within 24 hours with an offer in RePaddle store credit. The quote is an estimate until the paddle is in hand and graded, and if the final offer differs we email it and issue nothing until you accept.
