Because the construction has no conventional honeycomb core, the usual core-failure checks do not apply and these survive abuse that would finish other paddles. What you are grading is the face and the handle. The catch is fit rather than condition: that stiff, low-vibration feel is polarising, so a used GearBox is a cheap way to find out whether you are in the half that likes it.

That is the same check your paddle gets when it reaches the bench, and it is why the quote is an estimate until it arrives. Nothing is graded on a photograph alone.

What is my used GearBox paddle worth?

Do you pay cash for GearBox paddles?

No. Trade-ins are paid in RePaddle store credit only — no cash, PayPal or Venmo. Credit arrives as a code you can spend on any paddle at checkout, and it does not expire on you mid-decision.

Who pays the shipping?

You do, on the way in. There is no prepaid label, and we email you the address once you accept the offer. If we grade it on arrival and the final offer comes out lower than the estimate, you are free to decline — and if you do, we ship the paddle back to you at our cost.

Which GearBox models do you take?

The lines we see most are GX2, GX3, Pro Power, Ultimate, but we take all major brands and are not limited to a list. We do reserve the right to decline any paddle, and a paddle that fails inspection is declined rather than lowballed.
